Video Assist Fundamentals Training

In this training, participants will gain an understanding of the various roles Video Assist plays on a professional set, learn to execute and troubleshoot some of the most common video workflows employed in the industry, and get hands on training with the latest industry standard technology in order to prepare for careers in this ever expanding area of the business.

This one-day training covers basics, including cable management, terminology, and an introduction to the most used Video Assist tools in the business. The Friday, October 13th and Saturday, October 14th classes are geared for those especially new to this world. Those with more production set experience who have not yet worked as a Y-9 Non Record Video Assist will want to prioritize the Friday, October 20th and Saturday, October 21st dates.

By taking this training, you affirm that it is your goal to seek employment in the field of Y-9 Non-Record Video Assist. Course offerings are limited and the Local wants to ensure that members who are serious about performing this work are prioritized for training. If you are not interested in prospectively working as a Y-9 should opportunities arise, please do not take this training and kindly reach out to edu@local695.com to inquire on what trainings you would like to see.

PLEASE NOTE: If you are already a Local 695 member able to do this Y-9 work, should opportunities arise, and do not need Y-9 training, please email Caseyw@local695.com to be placed on that separate list. The below is for members who need training.
